More about the program
People from Dalmatia are creatures of habit. Special occasions like Christmas, Easter and weddings haven’t changed in a long time. It’s all about family, food and wine.
We want you to experience part of that hospitable environment on our tour through food, wine and warm people. Leave the crowds in Split center for a day and embark on a family wine estate where you will be treated to a meal that is prepared only in special occasions in Dalmatia. Don’t be fooled by restaurant offerings, as they aren’t the real thing.
Pašticada is a big chunk of simmering beef that has been marinated for a day then slow cooked with wine, dessert wine, vegetables and some never told secrets. That process results in a tender chunks of beef in a thick savory sauce served over freshly made gnocchi.
Also, we’ll serve you a traditional cheese and prosciutto board that will feature produce from surrounding estates as fresh and delicious as they come. And don’t even get us started on the warm Peka bread. Of course you’re going to wash it down with amazing wine from the estate.
In total it’s a perfect foodie experience for a traveler that wants to see what traditional Dalmatia (and Croatia) is all about in a private atmosphere. You will not go home hungry.
